PRPL Hosts Orlando's Downtown Interactive Series

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Leading Digital Agency Launches Interactive Marketing Series in Downtown Orlando
From Facebook, to online donations to SEO, Orlando’s leading digital agency will serve up best practices in Web design, social media and performance-based marketing strategies during a series of luncheons in Downtown Orlando.
Presented by Orlando and New York digital agency Purple, Rock, Scissors (aka PRPL), these free, catered events will show Orlando businesses how to take their brands to the next level by optimizing Web site design, conversion strategy, and traffic acquisition efforts—November 2, November 3, and November 4 from noon to 1:00 p.m. at Orlando Performing Arts Center, located at 455 S. Orange Avenue, Suite 410, Orlando FL, 32801.
PRPL is hosting the series in partnership with Orlando’s Downtown Development Board (DDB). PRPL recently revamped Downtown Orlando’s website to serve as a social media platform—allowing users to not only find out what’s happening, but to share events, reviews, and more. The new site also provides important economic data, designed to encourage new investments in the area.
“PRPL has given us an efficient and effective way to reach our audience. They ‘get’ the Web,” praised Thomas Chatmon, Executive Director for DDB.
At each event, in addition to opening a door into the world of interactive marketing, the team from PRPL will spend about 30 minutes auditing the website of a local company—offering recommendations to increase both the quality and reach of that organization’s online presence. Businesses that would like their websites to be considered for the audits can submit a request to hello@purplerockscissors.com by October 28.
PRPL’s interactive marketing series will cover a different topic each day:
How to Make Your Website Convert
November 2, From Noon to 1 p.m, Catered Lunch, Free Event
During this initial offering in the series, PRPL will explore best practices in conversion strategy, funnel strategy, user-interface design and content development.
How to Develop a Measurable, Online Marketing Mix
November 3, From Noon to 1 p.m, Catered Lunch, Free Event
Next, PRPL reveals how to develop a performance-based marketing mix—including SEO, search engine marketing (SEM), e-commerce, affiliate marketing, newsletter programs and contextual, semantic, behavioral, and retargeting advertising.
How to Leverage Social Media
November 4, From Noon to 1 p.m, Catered Lunch, Free Event
To wrap up the series, PRPL will unpack the latest trends and best practices in social media to help you grow the conversation about your brand.
Bobby Jones, founder and president of PRPL, hopes the series will help companies better navigate the shifting trends in the digital realm. He concludes, “Smart organizations are no longer looking at their websites as separate entities. The Web is increasingly becoming the central part of their marketing strategies.” To register for PRPL’s interactive marketing series, visit PRPL's Facebook.

I would really like to see a 2010 version of this conference - is that going to happen? I think the focuses of the 2009 conference, of the array of online marketing mixes, could start to shift in the next conference to other growing marketing fields, such as certain new sectors in the area of targeted email marketing.
