Position Overview

This position is specifically for front-end web development. If your skill set focuses more around back-end development with PHP, MySQL, or other server technology, you may be more interested in the PHP Developer position.

Responsibilities

  • Develop websites, web applications & content management systems
  • Develop requirements and planning documentation
  • Collaborate with designers & marketing to develop amazing products
  • Set up, manage, & configure hosting environments
  • Maintain well-documented, reusable, and transferrable code
  • Maintain working knowledge of new development software, trends, and practices related to your responsibilities

Qualifications

  • Expert knowledge of HTML, CSS, and Javascript (jQuery)
  • Expert knowledge of AJAX and DOM page manipulation
  • Expert knowledge of client-side optimization techniques
  • Familiarity with content management & eCommerce solutions such as WordPress, Drupal, Expression Engine, and Magento
  • Expert understanding of all latest and legacy browser capabilities, including mobile platforms
  • Experience & knowledge with SEO best practices
  • Familiarity with user experience best practices and human-to-computer interaction techniques
  • Functional knowledge PHP & MySQL
  • Functional knowledge of version control (GIT)
  • Functional knowledge of Linux, Unix, & Apache
  • Familiarity with Unix terminal commands
  • Tough skin & excellent time management skills
  • Strong oral & written communication skills with both teams & clients

Bonus Points

  • Existing agency experience
  • Experience & knowledge with Google Analytics
  • Experience developing for Social Media platforms such as the Facebook Developer platform
  • Understanding of object-oriented programming techniques
  • Experience connecting to third-party info using various API techniques
