Learn about our guiding principles and project teams.

4.1 Our Values

The following principles are important to us. If they are important to you, then let’s talk.

Goal-Driven Design

Our digital economy runs on results. We believe in goal-driven design, pinpointing the intersection between business goals, user goals, and the products designed to bring them together.

Clients as Partners

The best products are created when everyone operates as a single unit with common goals. Our success is measured as a team, so we intentionally sit on the same side of the table as our clients.

Lean Teams

Each Product Team has a concise number of multi-disciplinary team members who wear a lot of hats. This approach cuts down on overhead and eliminates unnecessary communication channels that cost time and money for our clients.

Unapologetically Transparent

Open communication is a critical element for successful projects. We will tell you what’s on our minds. All of the time. We also trust you to do the same. We support the value of transparency by publishing our Employee Handbook and our 9 Stage Project Process online for everyone to see. No secrets. Just ask.

Less Presentations

We don’t believe in dog-and-pony shows or a strict number of revisions. Good products require hard work, iterative testing, and open collaboration with our clients.

Technology Agnostic

Hammers ≠ screwdrivers, and businesses run on a variety of solutions. For that reason, we don’t subscribe to a specific set of technologies. Our engineering team delivers the right products that make sense for your unique ecosystem.

Straight, No Chaser

A lot of times, we tackle the hard and challenging projects that others won’t dare to touch. We find joy in solving some of the biggest and baddest problems for our clients.

Quality Over Quantity

It’s our job to make the best products possible. We take on less work so we can do our best work.

4.2 Disciplines & Teams

Our team members are multi-disciplinary professionals. We only have five core disciplines at PRPL:

Strategy & Engagement

Product steering & ownership, account insights, customer service, and overall client / program management.

Research & Planning

Research, planning, requirements development, persona development, analytics & insights, focus groups, go-to-market strategies, and user testing.

User Experience (UX) design, creative concepts, iterative prototyping, and aesthetic direction.

System architecture, product development, service integrations, and technical engineering.

Product Delivery

Management of teams, resources, timelines, scope, budgets, product testing, and product backlogs.

We intentionally avoid too many cooks in the kitchen.

At peak capacity, your projects will only require a few points of contact. Your Product Manager is your primary channel, but we encourage team collaboration through all levels. The scope of your project determines the number of Strategists, Designers, and Engineers on your team, but we intentionally avoid too many cooks in the kitchen. This is our commitment to making the best products possible.

We telecommute, join stand-ups, work on-site, and collaborate with you just like we are one of your own.
